Litvue Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how your personal information is collected, used and disclosed by Litvue, Inc. ("Litvue", "we", "our", or "us") and its affiliates (e.g., our vendors or providers) with respect to your use of our websites, (e.g., litvue.com) (the “Website”) and the Litvue Platform (as defined in your Software Services Agreement) (collectively, the “Services”).
When accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by the terms described below and all other terms, policies and guidelines incorporated by reference ("Terms"). Your ability to receive these Terms electronically is also a condition of your use of the Services. If you do not agree to all these Terms, you cannot access or use the Services.
In this Policy, we refer to "vendors" and "third parties." A "vendor" is any person or business that helps us offer the Services, as well as, maintain its supporting infrastructure. A "third party" is any person or business other than Litvue, its affiliates or a vendor. THIS POLICY DOES NOT ADDRESS THE PRIVACY OR INFORMATION PRACTICES OF ANY THIRD PARTY. Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings set forth in your Software Services Agreement.
1Data We Gather
We accumulate data that, either on its own or combined with other information we possess, could be used to identify you ("Personal Data") as follows:
- Correspondence Data. When you communicate with us, we may collect your name, contact details, and the content of your messages ("Correspondence Data").
- Support data. When you contact us for customer support, feedback, or inquiries, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any other information you provide us or that we request from you to assist you or resolve your issue ("Support Data").
- User-Provided Personal Data. We might gather Personal Data if you establish an account for our Services or interact with us including your name, email address, organization, and usage data.
- Billing Data. When you purchase or subscribe to our Services, we may gather your billing details, such as your payment card information, expiration date, and billing address, or utilize a third-party payment processor to handle your transactions ("Billing Data").
- Automatically Collected Data. When you visit, use, and interact with our Services, we may receive certain information about your visit, use, or interactions ("Usage Data"). The Usage Data collected may depend on the type of device you use and its settings. Usage Data includes the following:
- Server logs, Activity data, and Device details: We automatically collect information when you visit and use our Services, including: (1) IP address, browser type and settings, date and time of your request, and how you interacted with the Site; (2) Types of content you view or engage with, features you use, actions you take, time zone, country, dates and times of access, user agent and version; (3) Device name, operating system, and browser information; and (4) Type of computer or mobile device, computer connection, and similar information
- Cookies: Small text files that websites transfer to your device for identification purposes. Cookies can be used to track your activity on the website and that information helps us to understand your preferences and improve your website experience. Cookies are also used for such activities as remembering your login credentials for our Services. In addition to the cookies used by Litvue and our service providers, some cookies are placed by third parties such as Google (for analytics, described below). These third party cookies are not under our control so you should check the website of the third party service providers for more information regarding these cookies. By using our Services you agree to the use of cookies. You have the option to disable all cookies if you prefer not to receive them. You can also set your computer to alert you whenever cookies are being used. For both options you need to adjust your browser settings (such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, or other browsers). There are also software products available that can manage cookies for you. Please note, however, that when you choose to reject cookies you may limit the functionality of our Services.
- Analytics. We may use various online analytics tools that use cookies to help us analyze how users interact with our Services and enhance your experience when you use them.
- Online Tracking and Do Not Track Signals. Our website currently does not respond to "Do Not Track" ("DNT") signals and operates as described in this Policy whether or not a DNT signal is received.
2Utilization of Personal Data
We will never sell your Personal Data, however we may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To ensure the security of our IT infrastructure, systems, and networks;
- To offer, manage, sustain, enhance, and examine our Services;
- To deliver customer support;
- To engage in dialogue with you, including discussions about your Services usage options;
- To improve the product, Litvue may use Microsoft Clarity or another similar product to catch bugs/errors, identify performance issues, and see how users interact with our tool.
- We may combine Personal Data and utilize the resulting information To assess our Services' efficacy, to enhance and introduce new features. Further, we may periodically examine user behavior and characteristics of our Services and share or publish general statistics and consolidated information.
3Utilization of Client Case Data
As described in your Software Services Agreement, as part of your use of the Services you have the option to upload Customer Data pertaining to specific legal matters or legal cases, including information and documents which may pertain or belong to third-persons whom you or your organization may represent. Such data will hereafter be referred to as “Client Case Data.” Such Client Case Data may include but is not limited to search terms or messages input to the Services, uploaded documents and files, or any other information uploaded to the Services that is specific to a particular case or legal matter.
- Data Encryption and Confidentiality of Client Case Data
- All Client Case Data is encrypted at rest and its access by any agent, employee, or representative of Litvue is strictly limited. Litvue will never access Client Case Data without your express, upfront, and written permission, and Litvue would only seek such permission in a case where it was absolutely necessary to continue providing the Services to you. In such rare cases where it may be necessary, Litvue will willingly enter into any necessary and appropriate confidentiality and/or non-disclosure agreement with you or your organization for the limited purpose of providing the necessary support.
- The only exception to these provisions are if Litvue is required by lawful order or subpoena by a court of valid jurisdiction to turn over any Client Case Data. In such cases Litvue will be forced to reveal any Client Case Data covered by the order or subpoena.
- Your Warranties and Acknowledgements Concerning Client Case Data
- As part of your agreement to this Policy and your Software Services Agreement, you agree that you will not upload any Client Case Data for which you do not have the requisite legal authority or permission to upload.
- You acknowledge and understand that you should not submit any Client Case Data via the Website or support requests (i.e., via email or from the Litvue Platform), as Litvue reviews these inputs and such inputs will not ordinarily be treated as Client Case Data.
- Litvue’s Warranties and Acknowledgements Concerning Client Case Data
Litvue represents that: (1) your Personal Data or Client Case Data will never be sold to third parties; (2) All Client Case Data will be encrypted at rest; (3) All Client Case Data is stored in an Azure private tenant, or other such cloud provider equivalent or multiple of the same; and (4) Litvue’s use of Client Case Data will be governed by the Litvue AI Terms incorporated into your Software Services Agreement.
4Authorized Information Sharing
Your Personal Data (i.e., NOT Client Case Data) may be shared with third parties in the following circumstances, subject to legal requirements:
- Service Facilitation. We may disclose Personal Data to various service providers to support our business operations and deliver services. These may include IT service providers, event coordinators, communication platforms, marketing agencies, and analytics services. These entities will handle your information as directed by us to fulfill their roles.
- Legal Compliance. We may share information if we believe it's necessary to: (1) meet legal obligations or law enforcement requests, (2) safeguard our rights or assets, (3) combat fraudulent activities, (4) respond to emergencies involving user or public safety, or (5) shield ourselves from potential legal issues.
- Corporate Changes. In the event of organizational restructuring, merger, acquisition, or similar corporate events (a "Transition"), your information may be shared with relevant parties and potentially transferred to a successor entity.
- Related Entities. Your information might be shared with our "Associated Companies," defined as organizations under shared ownership or control. These entities will use Personal Data in accordance with this Policy.
- Platform Interactions. Be aware that some of your activities on our platform may be visible to other users if those users are affiliated with your organization.
5Actions Regarding Your Information
For inquiries about accessing, modifying, restricting use of, or transferring your Personal Data, please reach out to privacy@litvue.com. Our response to such requests may be limited to what is mandated by law.
To safeguard your data, identity verification may be necessary before processing requests related to your Personal Data. If we're unable to confirm your identity or residency (where applicable), we may not fulfill your request.
Authorized representatives can submit requests on your behalf. They must provide signed documentation of their authority and be able to verify your identity, organization, or residency (if applicable) to our satisfaction.
6Minors and Our Services
Our services are not designed for users under 18 years of age. Litvue does not knowingly collect data from individuals below this age. If you believe a minor has provided information to Litvue through our platforms, please notify us at privacy@litvue.com. We will promptly take steps to remove any such data from our systems.
7Safeguarding Your Information and Information Storage and Removal
To safeguard your Personal Data, we implement various measures aimed at preventing unauthorized access, misuse, and data breaches. Our protection strategies may involve physical security, encryption, network monitoring, and access controls, tailored to the nature and scope of data processing. All personnel with potential access to your data are bound by confidentiality obligations. We keep your Personal Data for the duration necessary to meet our operational needs, unless legal requirements dictate otherwise. Personal Data may be retained for legitimate business purposes, including legal compliance, dispute resolution, and record-keeping. Upon determining that your Personal Data is no longer needed, we will either erase or anonymize it as per our policies and applicable regulations. In cases where immediate deletion isn't feasible (e.g., data in backup systems), we will securely isolate your information until permanent removal is possible.
8External Website Connections
Our Services may include connections to external websites not under the operation or control of Litvue, such as various social media platforms ("External Platforms"). Any information you choose to share with these External Platforms will be subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of use, rather than this Privacy Policy. The presence of these connections does not constitute an endorsement or review of these platforms by us. For details on their privacy practices and policies, please contact the External Platforms directly.
9Privacy Policy Updates
This Policy may be revised periodically. Upon any updates, we will publish the revised version on this page, except where alternative notification methods are required by applicable laws or agreements. Your continued use of our service or provision of Personal Data or Client Case Data following the publication of an updated Policy, or after receiving notification through other means, indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy.
